ANY EARLY frost will clear quickly to leave a dry day with varying amounts of cloud. The longest of the sunny spells will occur during the afternoon. Top temperatures of between five and eight degrees in moderate east or southeast winds.

NATIONAL OUTLOOK

Fairly settled as high pressure will be positioned near Ireland bringing mostly dry weather. Rather cold at times with the chance of some night time frost.

A chilly night tonight with varying cloud-cover. Lowest temperatures of zero to four degrees in a moderate easterly breeze.

It looks set to become mostly cloudy tomorrow. Maximum afternoon temperatures ranging from six to nine degrees in light to moderate east or southeast breezes.

Cloud will break up in some areas tomorrow night allowing a frost to form as temperatures fall back to between minus one and three degrees in light east or variable winds.

Little change is expected on Tuesday with mostly dry conditions, apart from the odd light shower with variable amounts of cloud. Afternoon temperatures around average for late February with highs of six to nine degrees. Light northeasterly breezes.

Mostly dry on Tuesday night with some clear spells, and a possibility of some showers in eastern coastal areas. Lowest temperatures of 0 to 5 degrees with some frost possible. Light northeasterly breezes.

Wednesday looks to start off cloudy, with some brighter spells developing over the south of the country later on in the day. Highest afternoon temperatures of seven to nine degrees with moderate to fresh easterly breezes.
