The water at two beaches in Clare is once again safe to bathe and swim in, it has been announced.
Clare County Council has confirmed that it has lifted the advisory notices it had in place for Spanish Point and Kilkee beaches.
The local authority had on Thursday asked people not to swim at the beach in Kilkee until further notice.
The restrictions were introduced after the results of routine bathing water samples showed the presence of elevated levels of bacteria.
A similar issue also sparked a warning at Spanish Point. Clare County Council has confirmed that Advisory Notices issued for Spanish Point and Kilkee Beaches have now been lifted.
