According to Gardaí, registration plates are stolen to assist in the commission of further criminal offences, such as burglaries of homes and commercial properties and unauthorised takings of other vehicles.
If you witnessed this theft or if you were parked in the town centre and your vehicle has dash camera footage, Shannon Gardaí would like to speak to you. Please contact them on 061 365900.
