Gardaí in Shannon are continuing their investigation into a robbery that occurred near a local housing estate on Friday, December 19.
Taking place between 8:30pm and 9pm near Glaise na Rinne, the injured party, a male aged in his late teens, was walking along this area when two men approached him.
Throughout the course of this incident, these two offenders demanded the victim’s wallet and subsequently assaulted him.

The males were dressed in dark clothing with hoodies, one was approximately 5 ft 10 in and the second male was taller.
The injured party later reported the incident to Shannon Garda Station. A spokesperson for Gardaí in the county commented on this, saying, “This was a very distressing incident for this young man and for his family. The Gardaí in Shannon are anxious to speak to anyone that was walking in this area on Friday evening or who may have observed two men matching these descriptions in the area.”
