An investigation has commenced after a vehicle was stolen during the course of a burglary in Crusheen.

Taking place on Wednesday night, December 17, Gardaí believe that the culprits entered a family home through the front door where they subsequently stole car keys to a green and black Volkswagen Estate.

This incident occurred in the Inchicronan estate and the car was later recovered by the owner parked in the hard shoulder of the motorway just before Junction 12, southbound for Limerick.

Ennis Gardaí are now appealing to anyone that observed any persons or vehicle in the Inchicronan estate on Wednesday night into the early hours of Thursday morning.

Maybe someone observed this green and black Volkswagen Estate being driven in Crusheen or maybe someone saw the culprits leave the vehicle on the motorway.

If you have any information regarding these offenders or this crime, please contact your local Garda Station.
