A disqualified motorist has been arrested in Ennis after testing positive for cocaine while driving with her children in the car.
On Friday night, December 5, members of the Roads Policing Unit were on duty and observed a vehicle going around a corner on the wrong side of the road.

Upon stopping the car, it was confirmed by gardaí that the woman driving was disqualified from the roads, also testing positive for cocaine via a drug wipe test. Two of her children were present in the vehicle at the time of this incident.
The driver was arrested and her car was seized. She is now awaiting a court date.
Taking to social media, a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána in the county said, "Over the Christmas period, we will be continuing to target intoxicated drivers on the road, with a hope that it will prevent any more empty seats at the Christmas dinner table this year."
