Clare and Limerick Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a burglary that occurred in the Garanbawn estate of Murroe, Limerick.

Taking place on Sunday, July 27, a white Hyundai i40 jeep was stolen between the hours of 10pm and 11:30pm.

The Clare Fire and Rescue Service later located the vehicle after receiving a call that a car of this description was found on fire in the county.

The jeep was located in the Kiladerry area of Broadford on Monday morning, July 28 at 12:50am.

Limerick and Clare Gardaí are asking anyone that may have travelled the road between Murroe and Broadford on Sunday night into Monday morning: Did you observe a white Hyundai i40 jeep?

Gardaí believe the perpetrators could have taken the Annacotty road or the Newport Road from Murroe and then travelled through O’Briensbridge up to Broadford.

A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána said, "If you did observe a white Hyundai i40 jeep or if you have any information or if your home or premises has CCTV along this route, please contact your local Garda Station or the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111."
