Investigation underway following burglary at in west Clare home on Easter Sunday

Gardai say a property in the Doonmore area of Doonbeg was entered on Sunday evening

Gardai in Kilrush are investigating a burglary which took place on Easter Sunday, April 20. 

Occurring sometime between 5:30pm and 7pm in the Doonmore area of Doonbeg, a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána in Kilrush said. "Entry was gained into this property, the front and side windows of the house were broken but there was no property taken."

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with any information in relation to this burglary to contact them at Kilrush Garda Station.

This news comes just weeks after the latest CSO report, which revealed there was a 6% increase in burglaries in Clare. This was in the last 12 months up to Q3 2024 compared to the previous 12 months.
