Gardaí in Scarriff are renewing their appeal for witnesses following an incident of criminal damage that occurred earlier this month.
A car was targeted at Cloonamirran, Mountshannon on the evening of Saturday, April 5.
"The owner had parked their vehicle, a brown Dacia Duster jeep near their home and at approximately 10.30pm, they found that their vehicle had been damaged," said crime prevention officer Sergeant Catriona Holohan.
"The driver’s side rear passenger window was smashed and a small fire was lit near the vehicle," she added.

Gardaí in Scarriff are appealing to anyone who may have travelled the road on the night of the incident and who saw anything suspicious to contact them.
"Did you see any vehicle acting suspiciously? Did you see anyone walking on the road? If you have any information, please contact Scarriff gardaí station on 061 922790," said Sgt Holohan.
Investigations are ongoing.
