Gardaí in Clare are advising parents to think of "ways to have a safe Halloween".
Parents should remove bangers/fireworks from their children, educate them "to have respect for older, vulnerable people in the community and always be mindful of where your child is during Halloween, where they are going and what time they will be back", Garda Eimear McDonagh of Clare Community Policing said in a statement.
"Take responsibility. Ensure that your child does not cause injury to either themselves or to others".
Parents can check with Clare County Council for family-friendly Halloween events and licensed fireworks displays.

Gardaí are also advising young people to stay a "safe distance from bonfires and fireworks" and to have an adult with you when trick or treating at events".
While out trick or treating, people are advised to add "reflective material so that you can be seen by motorists and cyclists".
"Do not buy, use, ignite or supply fireworks, keep pets indoors on Halloween night, and check on your elderly neighbours who may be frightened," Garda Eimear McDonagh advised.
