Gardaí are appealing for information following the theft of power tools worth several thousand euro from a premises in Clarecastle.

The burglary occurred at Quay Road sometime between midnight and 7.30am on Friday morning last, October 11.

Gardai say a number of items were taken by the intruder or intruders including a Dewalt mixing drill, Dewalt batteries, a Milwaukee pod light, a red and white road saw with Clare Tool Hire stickers on it and a Milwaukee hand drill and batteries.

"Ennis Gardaí are appealing to anyone that may have observed a person or a vehicle on the Quay Road during this seven hour window on Friday morning, to come forward," said a garda spokesperson.

Given the quantity and size of the tools taken, it is likely a vehicle was used at some point to assist in the transportation of the stolen property.

Members of the public are also being urged not to buy tools, similar to those reported stolen, if they are offered for sale at a price that seems to be too low.
