Gardai in Sixmilebridge are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a woman was verbally abused during an incident on the outskirts of the village.
The incident, which is under investigation, happened shortly after 5pm last Friday when the injured party, whose aged in her 50s, encountered the culprit.
"The suspect is believed to have walked into the village after the incident and he is described as wearing a dark coloured coat and carrying a Dunne’s Stores bag," said a garda spokesperson.

The man's appearance has been described as dishevelled and gardai say they are anxious to identify him.
"If anyone observed this male in Sixmilebridge on Friday evening, please contact Sixmilebridge garda station on 061 369133," said the spokesperson.
Gardai have not disclosed any further information publicly and the nature of the alleged verbal abuse has not been elaborated on.
