Stryker, which has a large facility in Raheen, was named overall winner at the 2022 Limerick Chamber business awards
THE DEADLINE to enter this year’s Limerick Chamber Regional Business Awards has been extended until the end of this week.
The business group said due to an initial “overwhelming response”, entries will now be accepted up to close of business on until Friday, September 15.
The awards, sponsored by Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) and supported are open to all companies which are operating in the Mid-West region.
There’s a wide range of categories to choose from, with the awards serving as a platform for companies to showcase their innovations and advancements.
Limerick Chamber is encouraging the owners of companies of all sizes and sectors to take advantage of the extended deadline and enter for the awards, which take place in November at the Limerick Strand Hotel.
At this black-tie event, 10 awards will be given out to companies and individuals from across the region.
Awards will be given for the best employer, best not- for-profit company, innovation excellence, and the best emerging firm.
There will also be honours for the best small to medium sized enterprise, while firms which have a focus on the environmental impact will be given an award.
There'll be a prize for excellence in customer experience, and a community award.
One of these companies will also win the overall prize at the gala event, while there will be a lifetime achievement award which will be presented by Chamber president Miriam O'Connor.
Speaking at the launch of the awards earlier this summer, Chamber chief executive Dee Ryan said: “It’s a great opportunity to show the work and innovation that's going on in your business. The awards event is the largest and most prestigious business event in the Mid-West's calendar.”
