WATCH: Listeners hit out at Mario Rosenstock's 'brutal' Garron Noone impression

Listeners were left unimpressed by comedian Mario Rosenstock's impression of Mayo funnyman and social media star Garron Noone on Monday morning.

Rosenstock was appearing in his regular slot on Ian Dempsey's Breakfast Show on Today FM when he unveiled his impression of Noone, just days after the Mayo man appeared on stage with Robbie Williams at Croke Park.

Garron was a special guest of Robbie Williams during his sold-out show at GAA HQ with the pair delivering a rousing rendition of John Denver's Take Me Home Country Roads on Saturday night.

Mario's latest skit has seemingly fallen flat and despite mastering impressions of the likes of Roy Keane, Michael D Higgins and Miriam O'Callaghan, it would appear he needs more work to nail his Garron Noone.

In the skit, Mario takes off Garron as he meets Robbie Williams at the checkout of a shop buying crisps and chocolate. You can check out the clip below but the reaction has been brutal, despite Ian Dempsey laughing along.

One listener commented, "doesn't sound even a small bit like him," while another said, "sounds nothing like him. Time to retire, Mario." A third comment read: "I'm from Tyrone and I sound more like him. Thank God Garron was the one on stage that I saw and has talent."
