WATCH: The Irish GAA disco classic you never knew was a Eurovision winner
Irish people of a certain vintage will remember the song Fly On The Wings Of Live from their teenage years attending discos and downloading polyphonic ringtones to their phone.
Many will not know that the song was in fact originally a Eurovision winner all the way back in the year 2000.
Fly On The Wings Of Love was a chart hit with popular version by XTM Presents Annia and DJ Cammy with the song circulating widely on nightclub and underage disco playlists in the early 2000s.
Yet, far from its cult dance anthem status, the song was originally a ballad performed by Denmark's Olsen Brothers at Eurovision in 2000.
The guitar-led tune was a hit across the continent and even contained the iconic flute riff. Could Saturday night's 2024 Eurovision final produce more chart hits?
