Aoife Culliton and Kristian Fisher live in their self-build home in Co. Cork with their two young children. They completed the build in 2022.
The couple had always wanted to build their own home and after finding their site, they started the building process. Aoife and Kristian used 3D house modelling software to design their home, getting guidance along the way from Kristian’s dad, David, who is in the building industry.
Aoife and Kristian were involved in every aspect of the process and describe their style as modern industrial, which is reflected in the black steel trims and warm wood accents throughout. They love the individuality and uniqueness of their home especially the mezzanine area.
The family love that their home has great open plan living but still maintains places to retreat to if you need some peace and quiet.
