Irish radio presenter Doireann Garrihy has announced her engagement.
The RTÉ presenter made the announcement yesterday (November 30) on her Instagram, stating it was "the happiest day" of her life.
Doireann is engaged to comedian Mark Mehigan, who she called "the love of my life".
In an Instagram story, Doireann thanked Appleby Jewellers for making the proposal "so special", calling it "the most magical, unforgettable experience".
Doireann and her new fiancé celebrated yesterday evening at the Westbury in Dublin.
A number of Irish celebrities offered congratulations, including her 2fm colleague Carl Mullan, Today FM's Dermot Whelan, presenter James Kavanagh, and comedian Joanne McNally.
Dave Moore from Today FM commented on the engagement post, stating, "The greatest news!" while influencer and model Rozanna Purcell commented, "This is unbelievable news, good man Mark!"
