Bebhinn Crookes from Portmarnock celebrated her 4th birthday at Kaleidoscope Festival over the weekend.
Speaking about the experience, Bebhinn's dad Alan Crookes said, "I am delighted we decided to camp, my wife was a bit unsure initially but she is now already planning our next year.
"The atmosphere in the campsite was lovely, the kids loved making new friends, it was a great way to wind down with other like-minded parents at the end of the day. Surprisingly we all slept!"
Families from all over the country enjoyed all kinds of activities during the festival, from mindfulness and Tai Chi to a porridge party, and a tie dye workshop in Wonderland.
Festival Director, Brian McDermott, said, "We have had a wonderful festival, the setting of Russborough House is second to none, the programming has really worked and was embraced by the crowd who have been incredibly friendly and enthusiastic.
"One of the most positive reactions we have had has been from the families who camped for weekend. This year the festival went cashless with AIB Tappy which worked really well resulting in less queues and more efficiency across the site. A big thanks to all our partners and all those who worked so hard on the festival."
Rosemary Delaney from Mountrath, Co Laois described her experience: "It’s our first time at Kaleidoscope camping with the three kids who are three, nine and eleven.
"We couldn’t believe there was so much for each of them, the three year old loved the Disney sing along and toddler disco, Kate is quite shy but she really got into the workshops, tops for her was Mark the Science Guy, Daniel felt very grown up watching the acts on the main stage but even more so, being able to roam around the grounds with his friends without us!"
