RYANAIR has announced it is to serve two additional routes from Shannon Airport this winter.
Liverpool and Faro have been added to the list of destinations which passengers will be able to fly to from Shannon over the coming months.
Currently, Ryanair serves 16 routes from Shannon but this Thursday's announcement will see that increase to 18.
The airline has also announced it will increase the frequency of flights from Shannon on six popular routes, serving Alicante, Krakow, Malaga, Tenerife, Lanzarote and Wroclaw.
Ryanair has also announced that a new aircraft - a Boeing Gamechanger 757 - has been introduced to Shannon, bringing to three the number of aircraft that are now based at the Clare airport.
The basing of a third aircraft in Shannon will see the creation of around 30 new jobs including cabin crew and pilots.
The Gamechanger 757 is a bigger, more economical aircraft which holds 197 passengers and reduces emissions by 16%.
Speaking at Shannon Airport, Ryanair's director of digital and marketing Dara Brady said efficient operations and competitive airport charges provide the foundation from which Ryanair can deliver long-term traffic growth at Shannon.
"We have worked directly with our partners at Shannon Airport to agree terms which will deliver growth and investment including the opening of our €10m maintenance facility in May last year - our first in Ireland," he said.
The Shannon Airport Group has welcomed this Thursday's announcement.
