A status yellow weather warning has been issued for Clare
MET Éireann is warning there will be "very strong and gusty" winds in Clare this weekend as stormy weather is set to impact most of the country.
The status yellow wind warning, which was issued this Friday morning, says Storm Ashley will bring "strong and gusty southerly winds, coupled with high spring tides".
The warning, which applies to all of Ireland, will come into effect at 10am on Sunday and will remain valid until midnight.
According to Met Éireann, possible impacts include Coastal flooding, large coastal waves, some fallen trees and branches, difficult driving and cycling conditions, debris, loose objects displaced

Separately, a status orange wind warning has been issued for counties Galway and Mayo. That warning will come into effect at 12 midday on Sunday and will remain valid until 9pm.
Met Éireann continues to monitor the track of Storm Ashley and further updates are expected across the weekend.
