Ireland, the land of saints, scholars, and weather that simply cannot make up its mind, has been knocked sideways once again- this time by Storm Éowyn, which saw a Status Red wind warning in place for the entire country.
With winds strong enough to turn umbrellas inside out faster than you can say, "sure its not even that bad," Storm Éowyn has swept through the country in a quite dramatic fashion, but if there's one thing we do better than survive storms, it's laugh at them.
Using humour as a defence against the windy chaos, here are some of the best social media posts reacting to the storm, because here in Ireland, no matter what, the craic must go on!
First up, we have an X user, with the handle @gjrlsaloud, share their dad's quirky trick for making sure his bins don't go missing.

Also concerned for his bins' safety is TikTok superstar Shane McCarthy, who comes from Tralee, Co Kerry. Shane issued the following video, below, as a public service announcement to his neighbours.

Embracing both the Irish humour, and love of Father Ted, X user @AinesFlynn shared her funny meme regarding Storm Éowyn, with the caption, "All of Ireland during Storm Éowyn."

Making light of the damage done in the Status Red wind warning, was TikTok user NicolaInked, who shared a glimpse into her back garden.

Lastly, we have yet another TikToker, Caz_russ6, whose home is seemingly without power, however, that won't stop him and the family from having their breakfast!

And so, as Storm Éowyn rolls off into the distance, leaving behind a trail of broken fences and upheaved trees, one thing remains clear that in ireland, every storm is just another excuse for a good laugh and maybe, just maybe, a hot whiskey too.
Stay safe, and stay inside, unless absolutely necessary!
