The clean up has been continuing in Dublin following Thursday's riots
THE Police Service of Northern Ireland has confirmed it has dispatched two water cannons to Dublin following a request from An Garda Síochana.
The vehicles will be placed on standby in the capital and will be deployed by gardai if there are any further violent scenes such as those which occurred on Thursday night.
More than 30 people were arrested on Thursday night with many appearing before the courts this Friday.
The clean-up has continued for most of the day and total cost of the violence is expected to run to tens of millions of euro.

In a statement this Friday evening, The Police Service of Northern Ireland confirmed the water cannons which have been to Dublin will be solely operated by members of An Garda Síochána.
Water cannons, which are typically operated from police vehicles and eject a powerful jet of water, are generally used to disperse a crowd.
They have been frequently been used in incidents of disturbances across Northern Ireland.
