Gardaí seek witnesses as two are hospitalised following hit-and-run in Clare

Investigations are ongoing

A man and a woman, both aged in their 20s, have been hospitalised following a hit-and-run in Shannon, County Clare. 

Taking place at approximately 7am on Monday, July 21, gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a two-vehicle road traffic collision. The crash occurred along the busy N18 road.

The driver and passenger of one of the vehicles, a man in his 20s and a woman in her 20s, were conveyed to University Hospital Limerick for treatment of injuries. They are believed to be non-life threatening at this time.

The occupants of the other vehicle failed to remain at scene.

Investigations are ongoing.
