Screwfix’s annual search for Ireland's - and Clare's - most talented tradespeople is once again underway.

Now in its sixth year in Ireland, Screwfix Top Tradesperson 2025 aims to uncover the brilliant trade talent across Ireland and the UK, and celebrates their dedication, professionalism and commitment to the industry.

Open to all trades – from builders to painters, electricians to plumbers – it’s your chance to step into the spotlight, showcase your skills and be recognised for your hard work and passion. Whether you’re a one-person operation or part of a busy crew, Screwfix wants to hear from you!

And with Longford’s Dan O’Shea having beaten over 2,700 applicants to claim the title of Screwfix Trade Apprentice 2025 just last month, the big question is: can Ireland do the double?

Entries for Screwfix Top Tradesperson 2025 are now open and will close on Sunday 13th July. Tradespeople from the UK and Ireland can put themselves forward, or be nominated by employers, customers or friends, by filling out the online application form at screwfix.com/stt or screwfix.ie/stt.

The standout applicants will be shortlisted to the semi-final stage and invited to an interview in August. From there, just 10 will head to the final at Screwfix Live in Farnborough, UK, on Friday 26th September, where they will go head-to-head in front of a panel of industry experts. They’ll also walk away with a trade bundle worth €20,000, made up of tech, tools, and training to boost their business.

Jack Wallace, Marketing Director at Screwfix, added: “We are so proud of Screwfix Top Tradesperson and how it highlights the skill and passion of exceptional tradespeople who are working day in, day out in our homes and businesses. We have a long list of Top Tradesperson winners in our Hall of Fame, and we can’t wait to see who the 2025 champion is.

“It is vital we continue to recognise and celebrate the work of the nation’s tradespeople. They perform vital roles in our community, create jobs for others and build rewarding careers for themselves. I encourage all tradespeople from electricians to plumbers, builders to painters, and carpenters to roofers, to come forward and share their stories. Good luck!”
