Some of the animals at Clare animal shelter waiting for a home
Last but definitely not least is Opie who looks like a pug but is a good bit bigger (around 12kg).
He is housetrained, sleeps quietly in his crate at night, loves to play with other dogs and ignores cats. Opie is more energetic than most Pugs, loves his walks and playtime, but is not 'too much'.
He also loves cuddle time on the sofa and will jump into your bed given half a chance. Opie is strong on the lead and needs some work on his recall, especially when he is having fun.
Opie's ideal home would be with a family, another dog to play with, and lots of cuddles and walks. He likes children but has been known to knock over smaller ones in his happiness to see them.
