ALERT: Works set to commence in Miltown Malbay 'in the coming days'- Council confirms

This news comes following a Notice of Motion submitted by Fine Gael Councillor Bill Slattery

The West Clare Municipal District has confirmed that road works will soon begin in Miltown Malbay, expected to commence in just a few days. 

This news comes following a Notice of Motion submitted by Fine Gael Councillor Bill Slattery who requested Clare County Council to clean up the junction and provide new road markings and signage at the Breaffa North Road within the town.

In a written reply, Tony Neville, a Senior Executive Engineer at the West Clare Municipal District confirmed that Miltown Malbay, in particular the L-6260-0, is included in the 2025 Restoration Improvement Programme. 

Mr Neville gave insight into this upcoming project, saying, "It is envisaged works will commence in the coming days and will include an upgrade of the existing road markings."
