The Tipperary duo posted a snippet of this week's podcast to their social media where they discussed the question, "If you had to evict one town in Ireland, what would it be?"
Social media superstars, The 2 Johnnies, risk being the face of backlash, particularly from the people of Clare, after their most recent TikTok video and podcast.
The Tipperary duo, comprised of Johnny B and Johnny Smacks, posted a snippet of this week's podcast to their social media account where they were discussing the question, "If you had to evict one town in Ireland, what would it be?"
"I hate to break it to our producer, but I think we're all picking Shannon," joked Johnny B, followed by laughs from his co-host and guest host Aifric O'Connell.
Johnny Smacks followed up: "Can we get rid of the town and keep the airport?" to which his friend replied, "100%!"
Chiming in next was Neil Cash, an intern, who said, "I don't think it's a town at all, I think it's a cult. They're lying to us all. There's nothing actually there. It's a green screen," followed by a "Hey!" from their producer, Shannon native Seán Reidy.
Aifric asked, "Why are you getting rid of Shannon?" with Johnny B clarifying, "I don't have a problem with the people of Shannon. I know some great people from Shannon, our producers from Shannon! I'm just saying, not a real town. It's a giant housing estate, but there's a car park in the middle.

Continuing, he asked, "Is the pub still closed?" to which their producer, Seán, confirmed it was.
"F**king hell," laughed Neil, while Johnny B joked also, "How do you expect these people to live?"
"It's really really tough. I didn't want to name any town but gun to my head I'd have to pick Shannon and New Ross," said Johnny B.
Surprised at the answer, Johnny Smacks said, "New Ross?" which saw Johnny B once again jokingly clarify, "We love Wexford, love the people of Wexford. Come on now John, when the mics aren't rolling you've stuck stuck it to New Ross is well."
Many social media users took to the comments of this video to share their thoughts on the question at hand.
One person said, "Couldn't agree more." While another commented, "I am from Shannon, leave us alone." A third stated, "Description of Shannon is on the ball lol but we love it here!"
