Gardaí in Newport have issued an appeal for information following a burglary where distinct items were stolen, with fears they may be sold and not returned to the owner.
The theft occurred in Kilmaglasderry, Birdhill and is said to have taken place between Wednesday, March 5 and Sunday, March 9.
During the course of this burglary, a red ride-on Craftsman T3000 lawnmower was stolen, along with a Dargan chainsaw that was red and black in colour.

Both of these items are easily recognisable and Gardai fear the culprits may attempt to sell these items in Co Clare.
With this in mind, Newport Gardaí are appealing to anyone that may have been approached to purchase either the red Craftsman ride-on lawnmower or the red and black Dargan chainsaw to contact Newport Garda Station on 061 378 102.
If you have information in relation to this theft, please contact your local Garda Station or Newport Garda Station on the number listed above.
