A lucky scratch card player from County Clare has beaten odds of more than a million-to-one to claim a mega cash prize from the National Lottery - for a second time!

It was the player’s second time winning a high-tier prize in the game, as he previously won €15,000 in 2017.
According to the National Lottery, the most-recent winning scratch card was purchased from Tierney’s Costcutter at Tulla Road, Ennis.

Reflecting on his win, the Clare man said: “I scratched the card in the car. When I got home, I said to my wife - ‘We have to go back to Dublin, we’ve won again! This is great news to receive in the New Year as we have a couple of home renovations planned – now we can finally get started.”
