Former bank in west Clare town set to house refugees following refurbishment

Clare County Council Integration team was delighted to attend the Irish Red Cross opening ceremony of the renovated old Bank of Ireland building on O’Curry Street, Kilkee.

The building is to be used to house a programme refugee family invited to Ireland by the government.

Sharing an image of the opening to X (formerly Twitter), a spokesperson said: "Clare County Council Integration team was delighted to attend the Irish Red Cross opening ceremony of the renovated old Bank of Ireland building on O’Curry Street, Kilkee, which is to be used to house a programme refugee family invited to Ireland by our Government."
