Information sought following unusual theft from home in Clare village

The incident happened on Friday evening

GARDAI are appealing for information following the theft of groceries during a burglary at a private residence in south east Clare at the weekend.

The property at on Wood Road, Cratloe happened at around 5pm on Friday.

"The thief forced a window at the rear of the property to get into the house. The thief searched the house and escaped with some groceries that the family had just bought," said Garda John Finnerty.

"If you were around Wood Road, Cratloe, last Friday at 5pm and noticed any suspicious activity, then we would like to hear from you," he added

Gardai at Mayorstone Park station in Limerick city are investigating and can be contacted at (061) 456980.
