County Clare is set to be one of the next counties in Ireland to get a roadside public EV charging point.
ePower has been named as one of the companies involved in the government's latest rollout of public EV charging facilities.
The announcement will see additional ePower units installed in six locations along five motorway corridors.
ePower is a market leader in the provision of renewable energy solutions, electric vehicle chargers and solar panels and has bases in Dublin and Cork, and is now set to provide chargers in counties Clare, Louth, Laois, Tipperary and Galway.
CEO John O'Keeffe says it's an important boost for the company and for EV drivers: "Having won 6 out of the total 17 locations in this round, we are proud of the work of all the team in this achievement and we are especially pleased for our partners in this project.

"These are exciting times for EV drivers and ePower are 100% committed to continue to deliver a great charging experience”
ePower's Director of Public Charging Brendan Crowley says: "We are very pleased to have been successful in the tender process for ZEVI, along with our partners, to expand the EV facilities on 6 motorway locations across the country."
"Our history and heritage has allowed ePower to develop an expertise in charger management and installation, initially in the commercial market, having commenced over 5 years ago with our first domestic charger.
"We now have a growing number of significant state and private customers who recognise this expertise. We will be adding several public EV installations every month during the summer and beyond.
"We look forward to working with ZEVI to enhance the EV landscape nationally. It is fantastic to be a part of this movement towards zero emissions," he concluded.
