Gardaí in Kilrush are appealing for witnesses following a hit-and-run collision in Lissycasey village.
Taking place on the main Ennis to Kilrush Road, a woman, aged in her 30s, was out walking when a car that was travelling in the direction of Kilrush struck her. The incident occurred on Wednesday, November 19 between 8:30pm and 9:30pm.
The victim was later brought by ambulance to University Hospital Limerick where she received treatment for her injuries.

Gardaí are continuing their investigation into this incident and believe that the vehicle involved is a red Ford Focus hatchback.
A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána in town said, "If you were in Lissycasey village last Wednesday evening and observed a red Ford Focus hatchback or if you were driving on the Ennis to Kilrush Road and have a dash camera in your vehicle, please contact Kilrush Garda Station on 065 9080550."
