Gardai in Ennistymon are urging vigilance following the theft of registration plates from a parked car.
In an appeal, they say the blue Volkswagen Passat was parked in the Bealcrahha area of Connolly when it was targeted at around 3.30pm on Thursday, October 30.
"The perpetrators may have used the Inch/Connolly road to commit the crime. Ennistymon Gardaí are appealing to anyone that observed anything out of place or suspicious in the Connolly area on that Thursday afternoon or who may have CCTV or dashcam footage from their journey at that time, to contact Ennistymon garda station on 065 7072180," said Sergeant Catriona Holohan.

The Crime Prevention Officer added: "We should also be mindful that these plates might be stolen to be used to commit further crimes. With this in mind, I am asking members of the public to be vigilant. If they observe a blue Volkswagen Passat in their area acting suspiciously, day or night, please contact your local garda station or the garda emergency line on 999.
Investigations into the theft are continuing.
