Gardaí appeal for information following theft of number plates from vehicle in Ennis town

The theft is said to have occurred between 3pm in the afternoon and midnight

Gardaí in Ennis are currently investigating a theft which took place in the town on Tuesday, April 30. 

During the course of this incident, front and rear 2009 number plates were stolen from a grey Peugeot 207 car that was parked on Lower Market Street in Ennis on the day in question. The theft is said to have occurred between 3pm in the afternoon and midnight.

A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána in the town said, "Criminals use stolen registration plates to ensure that they don’t appear suspicious to Gardaí."

If you were in the Market Street area between the hours of 3pm and midnight and believe that you could have saw something suspicious, please contact Ennis Garda Station on 065-684-8100.
