Gardaí in Ennis are appealing for witnesses after three vehicles were stolen from separate locations in the town last weekend.

The first incident occurred in the multi-storey car-park at Dunnes Stores on Saturday, January 11.

"The owner parked the silver Toyota Aqua at midday and discovered, at 9pm, that the vehicle had been stolen," said a spokesperson.

The second incident involved the theft of a vehicle from the Lios Ard estate at Tulla Road on the outskirts of the town - sometime between 11am and 2pm on the same day.

"The owner parked their vehicle, a red Toyota Corolla, near their home and they later discovered the vehicle had been stolen," said crime prevention officer Sergeant Catriona Holohan.

Gardaí say they are also investigating the theft of a pink Toyota Vitz car that was taken from Wood Quay in the early hours of Sunday morning.

"The owner last observed their vehicle at 1.30am and discovered it had been stolen that afternoon," said Sgt Holohan who added that the vehicle was later located by gardaí in Shannon.

"This vehicle is very distinctive and Ennis gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have observed a person near the vehicle or driving the vehicle away from the scene or on the road between Ennis and Shannon to contact them."
