Gardai are appealing for witnesses following a hit-and-run incident close to a Clare village last weekend.
In an appeal, they say a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on the R464, near Parteen on the evening of Sunday, January 12.
"The vehicle, which is believed to be a small type of car, was travelling from Parteen towards Limerick and failed to remain at
the scene of the incident," said Sergeant Michelle O'Halloran.

"It is believed that there may also be some damage to the vehicle involved. The pedestrian received medical treatment and is
thankfully alright and on the road to recovery," she added.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed any vehicles acting suspiciously between Parteen and Limerick on Sunday evening at around 6.30pm to contact them.
