Gardaí in Scariff are appealing for witnesses and information after damage was caused to a residential property in the Fossa
Beg area last weekend.
The incident, which is under investigation, happened sometime between 9pm last Saturday and 2am on Sunday.
"The front door of the property was damaged and it does not appear that the perpetrator or perpetrators gained access to the property," said Sergeant Catriona Holohan, crime prevention officer for Clare.

"This is a rural area and scariff gardaí are appealing to anyone that may have observed a vehicle that was in the area and out of place or has any information in relation to this crime, to please contact them," she added.
