Investigations are underway after a number of cars were damaged while parked overnight in Clarecastle.
Gardai say all of the vehicles were packed at Patrick Street in the village overnight last Tuesday night into the early hours of Wednesday when the damage was caused.
"These incidents took place between 7pm on Tuesday and 6am on Wednesday. Each of these vehicles appeared to have been scraped along the body of the vehicle and there were four vehicles damaged," said Sergeant Catriona Holohan, divisional crime prevention officer.
The cars which were damaged included a blue Volkswagen Polo, a black Mercedes Benz A Series, a blue Peugeot 508 and a brown Vauxhall Astra.

Gardaí in Ennis are investigating the incidents of criminal damage and they are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed these incidents or who may have observed either a suspicious person or a suspicious vehicle in the area on Tuesday evening, to contact them on 065 6848100.
Investigations are ongoing.
