Information is being sought following the theft of a 12-foot galvanised gate from lands in west Clare.

Gardaí in Ennistymon are investigating the incident which happened in the Maurice Mills area on Monday, December 2 at approximately 8pm.

A car and trailer were observed in the area at that time and gardai are seeking to identify the occupants and the movements of the vehicle.

"Gardaí are appealing to anyone that may have observed this car and trailer, with or without the gate, in the Maurice Mills area to please contact Ennistymon garda station on 065 707 2180," said a spokesperson.
