Gardai in Ennis are appealing for information after an intruder entered a private home in Clarecastle while the occupant was sleeping.
The burglary that took place at Orchard View in the town shortly after 2am on Monday, December 2.
"The injured party woke to noises in their home and discovered the front door open. The perpetrator had fled the scene," said crime prevention officer, Sergeant Catriona Holohan who added that no damage was caused to the property.
"The injured party believes that their electric bike may have been the target of the burglary," she stated in an appeal for any witnesses.

Gardaí in Ennis are appealing to anyone who may have observed any person in the Orchard View estate in Clarecastle or any vehicle in the area after midnight on Sunday night, the early hours of Monday morning to contact them at 065 6848100
Investigating gardai are also appealing to anyone who has dash-cam footage from their vehicle to make the footage available.
