Two Clare hotels have been named in the top 25 of the best resorts in Europe.
Trump International Golf Links & Hotel Doonbeg has been listed as number five on the Best Resort in Europe by the readers of Condé Nast Traveler.
Another Clare Hotel, Dromoland Castle, ranked just outside the top ten at number 11 on the list of 25 resorts.
The Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards are renowned as the longest-running and most respected recognition of excellence in the travel world, showcasing the very best destinations and experiences.
This year, 575,000 readers casted their votes, sharing insights into their favourite hotels, resorts, and travel experiences.
These voters assessed a range of criteria, including service, atmosphere, dining, and overall guest experience.

Posting the news on social media, the Trump International Doonbeg said they were "honored to be recognized in the 2024 Conde Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards".
"Thank you to all who voted for us, we appreciate your support."
Sharing their win, Dromoland Castle thanked their " wonderful visitors who have stayed with us and voted, and also our amazing team, who come to work each and every day with a smile and a warm welcome.
"We love our team. We truly do. We love that you love our team too."
Dromoland Castle was also awarded a prestigious One Michelin Key from the MICHELIN Guide.
"It is an honour and privilege to be one of the Irish luxury hotels recognised for this prestigious award among such wonderful company," they shared.
In total, seven of the 25 resorts named the Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards are located in Ireland, with Adare Manor in county Limerick taking the top spot for the third year in a row.
Ashford Castle, Co. Mayo and Sheen Falls Lodge, Co. Kerry, placed in fourth and sixth place respectively, with Europe Hotel & Resort, Co. Kerry, placing 12th and the Dunloe in Killarney placing 18th.
