Comedian Rory's Stories cancels Irish gig due to 'freak accident'
Comedian Rory's Stories had to cancel his Irish gig due to a freak accident involving his son.
He had been booked to play The Backstage Theatre in Longford on Saturday night but had to cancel last minute.
The date is part of his Keep Er Lit Tour.
Rory's son, Zach, was playing an Under 7s football match, which is when the incident occurred.
He had run over to his dad (Rory) to give him a high five when his hand got caught in the whistle around Rory's neck.
This resulted in Zach's finger being split open and a trip to the doctor's clinic.
In a post on Facebook, Rory described the incident as "mayhem" with "blood everywhere."
He also said it was traumatising for his son and a tough ordeal for any parent to deal with.

Rory's son should be back playing football in the next few weeks and a new date for his cancelled show will be announced.
He added that he hopes the new date will suit everyone.
While on tour, the show sees Rory trying to navigate our ever-changing world.
He takes the audience into his home and life with his humour and storytelling ability while he speaks about growing up in much simpler times.
Tickets for more upcoming tour dates, including one in Tipperary, can be bought here.
