Unusual items stolen during burglary at property close to Clare town

Gardai in Killaloe are investigating the burglary

Gardai in Killaloe are investigating the theft of several unusual items during a burglary that occurred in the townland of Garraunboy just outside the town.

In a renewed appeal they say the property was entered sometime between 5pm on Tuesday, February 25 and 11am on Thursday, February 27.

"During the course of this burglary a number of items were stolen including a cement mixer, a M18 Miwaukee Radio and three Sakro Velux windows," said crime prevention officer Sergeant Catriona Holohan.

Gardai say given the nature of the items taken, they may have been stolen at different times between the Tuesday evening and the Thursday morning.

It's also likely the culprits would have needed transport to remove the stolen items from the property.

"With this in mind, gardaí in Killaloe are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed any persons or vehicles that were acting suspiciously or who were not known in the area, to contact them at 061 620540 or on the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111," added Sgt Holohan.
