Hope is not lost just yet for Ireland's summer!

The dry weather looks set to come to an end according to Met Éireann's latest forecast, however there doesn't seem to be an end in store for the sunshine or the high temperatures.

Although the forecast for the coming days includes plenty of showers, Ireland's Weather Channel has reassured that the good weather has not come to a complete stop just yet.

They said: "From Tuesday through to the start of the following week our weather turns very settled once again with high pressure the dominant force. This will ensure dry sunny days with light variable or southeasterly winds. Getting warmer too with highs by next weekend of up to 24 or 25 degrees Celsius in some locations.

Here's how the weather is shaping up for the next few days.

Saturday night will continue to be dry in most areas with just some isolated showers in the northwest and some drizzle along the west coast. Temperatures will dip between 3 and 7 degrees, with some areas seeing mist and fog developing.

Sunday will be mostly dry with some cloud as well as hazy sunny spells. However, patchy rain will start to develop in parts of west Connacht and west Ulster throughout Sunday. It will also become more cloudy as the day goes on with more outbreaks of rain spreading towards the southeast. Highest temperatures will reach between 15 and 20 degrees.

The showers will continue into Sunday night with longer spells of rain which could turn heavy in parts. There will also be some dry and clear spells in some areas. It will be a milder night than previous nights with temperatures ranging between 7 and 11 degrees.

Monday will see a mixture of cloudy and sunny spells as well as some long spells of rain. There is also a chance that some of these showers could turn heavy or thundery. Highest temperatures will reach between 14 and 18 degrees.

The rain will ease on Monday night and most places will become dry and cloudy. It will be another mild night with lowest temperatures between 8 and 11 degrees.

Likewise, Tuesday will some some sunny spells and showers that could turn heavy. There is also the chance of some isolated thunderstorms. Temperatures will reach between 16 and 21 degrees with the west being the warmest on Tuesday.

Wednesday will see more sunshine and showers. For now, it looks like the showers will be focuses in the west and southwest. Meanwhile, dry conditions are expected for the north and east. Highest temperatures of 16 to 21 degrees.
