Status yellow thunderstorm warning issued for 19 counties including Clare

MET Éireann has issued a status yellow thunderstorm warning for Clare and several other counties across the country.
The warning, which came into effect at 10am this Sunday warns of potential localised flash flooding across the banner county.
"Thunderstorms bringing frequent lightning, heavy downpours, gusty winds, and a chance of hail", states the warning which applies to all of Munster, Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan, Munster, Connacht, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Offaly and Westmeath.
It's the second warning to be issued in Clare this weekend and follows a status orange warning which was in place for much of Saturday afternoon and evening.
Motorists are being advised to only travel if necessary as conditions could be difficult with reduced visibility at times.
The warning remains in place until 10pm.
