'Lawnmowers will be roaring and garden centre car parks will be jammed' says the meteorologist

Farmers across the country are sure to let out a sigh of relief as the coming weekend is 'promising' according to Carlow Weather.

"Next weekend is looking really promising and could be the lift so many people and businesses need," said the meteorologist via X. "Lawnmowers will be roaring and garden centre car parks will be jammed," the social media post added.

According to Met Éireann, Thursday will see "another rather cloudy but mainly dry day with well scattered light showers. Highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees in light northwesterly winds."

Friday is said to see "a cloudy start with scattered showers." These are reported to "die out as the day progresses with sunny spells developing, especially over the southern half of the country. Turning milder with highest temperatures of 11 degrees in the northwest to 16 degrees in the southeast in light to moderate northwest winds."

The weekend will be mild and will see "largely dry" weather over the weekend, "though it will remain dull and cloudy for many with the chance of isolated light showers."
