More rain and drizzle on the way as 'unsettled' weather is set to continue

Met Eireann says coastal flooding is likely this weekend
With St Patrick's Day is just around the corner, Met Éireann is offering no guarantees of an improvement in the weather for the upcoming bank holiday weelend.
While February was the warmest month on record, Met Éireann says the current spell of unsettled weather across Ireland looks set to continue until at least the middle of next week.
In its latest forecast, it says thicker cloud and patchy drizzle will develop in the southwest this Friday night. Met Éireann is also warning that "unusually high tides will bring the possibility of coastal flooding for all coasts."
A "fair amount" of cloud is expected on Saturday along with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle while there will "plenty of cloud with further outbreaks of rain" on Sunday.
In its outlook, the forecaster says it will turn drier for a time early next week but that there is no definite sign of an end to the current unsettled weather.
