TONIGHT NIGHT: Frost and ice setting in for a time tonight under clear skies. Wintry outbreaks of rain will gradually move up from the Southwest, turning to sleet and snow in parts towards morning, especially across the West and the North-Midlands. Lowest temperatures of -3 to +2 degrees, coldest across Ulster. Light to moderate easterly winds will freshen later.
THURSDAY:Thursday will begin cloudy and breezy with wintry outbreaks, bringing some further sleet and snow in places. Moderate accumulations are possible, especially across the North, West and parts the North Leinster with a light dusting possible elsewhere. Wintry outbreaks will persist across the North with sunny spells and some showers gradually developing elsewhere. More general rain will arrive into southern countries later. Cold with an added wind chill factor owing to a brisk easterly wind. Highest temperatures of 2 to 5 degrees generally; somewhat milder however across southern counties with highest temperature of 7 to 11 degrees.
FURTHER OUTLOOK: Cold with showery outbreaks of rain. Frost and icy stretches under clear skies.
