TODAY - Thursday, October 12 

Today will be a mostly dry day with a mix of cloud and sunny spells. It will become duller from the south in the afternoon with rain developing in the evening. Highest temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees in light southerly or variable breezes.

TONIGHT: Thicker cloud will build from the south early in the night with a spell of rain affecting much of Munster and Leinster, turning heavy at times, especially in southern areas . Some clear spells further north though some rain may also edge into southern parts of Connacht and Ulster for a time too. Lowest temperatures of 6 to 10 degrees.

TOMORROW - Friday, October 13: Outbreaks of rain will affect parts of Munster and south Leinster through the morning but will gradually clear to the southeast during the afternoon with brighter mainly dry weather following. Highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees generally, northwest winds will be moderate overland and fresher near exposed coasts.

Becoming mostly dry and clear for Friday night with showers mainly just affecting northwestern coasts. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 7 degrees.
